5110 LCD with the incorrect pinout

Is your backlight pin in the wrong place?

Preamble

Are you looking for a 5110 LCD display with the correct pinout, thus:

5110 LCD with the correct pinout
5110 LCD with the correct pinout

That is to say, you want a display that does not have VCC and GND separated by the LCD backlight pin?

Why does it matter?

This is important for the Arduino joystick shield, which has a socket for a 5110 display in the top left corner, but it requires the correct pin out

Tired of buying the wrong one from eBay, even though the photo in the image description looks to be the right one?  Fret no more. DX.com have the correct display for sale, for £2.20. I’ve bought one a couple of weeks ago and it arrived today. Oh happy days! 🙂

The thread Funduino Joystick Shield and Nokia LCD 5110 on the Arduino forums is about this very issue.
