The OS X version of the Arduino IDE annoyingly doesn’t have a Window menu, through which you could select which sketch Window has the focus.
So if you have multiple sketch windows open, one or more of which are full screen, then they are constantly obscuring each other and you find yourself having to constantly move windows back and forth, and/or minimising and maximising windows just to get at the correct window – which rapidly becomes a right pain in the arse.

Following on from A tiny one and Using an ATtiny development board, I figured that it was time to get the DigiStump/DigiSpark ATtiny85 board (that I had ordered over two months ago) to work, seeing as I had failed to get the ATtiny85 and the development board to work previously.
This time around it was a lot easier…

Following on from A tiny one, my development board finally arrived, along with an ATtiny85, and this is how to use it… and it’s not as easy as it would seem.
These instructions, and troubleshooting tips should work for ATtiny 85/45/25

My interest was recently piqued by the ATtinyXX series… in particular the ATtiny85, when my friend Pavel, from Bang Sue Electrix, told me about the 8BitMixtapeNEO.

Revisited – one year later
Looking at this issue again, The case of the broken Pro Micro, one year later, when I connect the Pro Micro to a USB port on the PC, it is just not recognised. It is worth noting that I was using a newer version of the Arduino IDE (1.6.11) this time around. Last year I was using version 1.6.5.
For what it is worth, I posted a brief synopsis on Stack Exchange Arduino, as an answer to Arduino Micro just blinks, won’t connect to PC – if anyone cares to upvote that answer/synopsis, it would be very much appreciated.

Having trouble getting the ArduPilot/ArduCopter source code (it would be rather churlish to call it a sketch) to compile? Here is an account of the issues that I encountered when I gave it a go… Continue reading Compiling ArduCopter/ArduPilot with the Arduino IDE
I was watching youtube tutorials, and saw this video.
Arduino Tutorial #14: Leonardo as Mouse
This immediately appealed to my mischievous side, and I ordered a 3.3 V Pro Micro.
However, I digress… That part of the story, the prologue, if you will, is covered more fully in USB Shenanigans. However, this blog, The case of the broken Pro Micro, will deal will repairing an apparently bricked Pro Micro, which resulted due to the shenanigans…
